The origins of the northern lights are far away in the space in the sun approximately 150 kilometers from the humankind. The northern lights or aurora borealis as they are called are the spectacles of nature, in which a person can easily feel his or her own smallness.
Finnish photographer Jorma Luhta has been working with the northern lights for years. Meteorologist Seija Paasonen explains their origins but also tells about the myths and art created by northern people.
